Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican American broadcaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation occasionally. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. The ability that allowed her to get her first job as a Univision producer assistant Miami. She was a producer for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues on both sides the Texas-Mexico Border, she served as an anchor for KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm, as a reporter for news in English until 9pm, then a news anchor for 10pm, before returning back to the Spanish channel. She was also frequently required to act as a sports or weather anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given larger responsibilities. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She was a host of sports for the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. As a sports anchor she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. She has an older sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and moved to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. The summer in 2006 she took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet with a clear idea what she would like to accomplish with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. She discovered that she liked the campus, and the university provided the degree she was looking for. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for many years, became a friend. He encouraged her to be self-confident and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her, and she was determined to live up to his expectations and never fail him.
