Anika Noni has a career as a performer and actor from the United States. She's best known for portraying Tiana as the Princess, and the African-American Princess of the Frog. She was named an official Disney Legend in 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson in from the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose is a famous American actress, singer and model. She was best known for her performance as Tiana her Disney Princess, who was the first African American Princess to appear in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. Also, she has a prominent part, playing Lorrell Robinson on the show Dreamgirls (2006) that was nominated for an Academy Award. And she is the jukebox player LaVerne Ganner on the show Starz's Power. Also, she is well-known for her work in the stage and in particular for her leading role as Emmie Thibodeaux and the Broadway production Caroline or Change (2004) in which she won the Tony Award Best Musical Featured Performance was given to her. And Beneatha Youther, who played the role in the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) for which the Tony Award Best Play Featured Performance award was presented to her.
